Rather similar to Goodgame Empire (or Goodgame Empire : Four Kingdoms) in both approach and gameplay, Legends of Honor is a war game and a strategy MMO. In this game, you will need to handle your resources to develop your own medieval town and castle. You will also have to spread your military forces throughout the map, in the first place, and then through other worlds.
You will be given the opportunity to erect buildings, extend your town's walls, manage its population, and recruit your troops amongst numerous military units. Your units' power and role will depend on your needs (defense units or attack units such as infantry, cavalry or long-distance soldier), and you will be able to boost them along your progression in the game.
The various equipment (earned or stolen from the enemy) will increase even more your armies' power and its leading heroes. You will be able to form alliances with other players to win heroic battles in which you will earn Honor or Fear (the ability to frighten your opponent). Those will enable you to unblock new soldiers or knights, and climb all the way up to the game's top.

You will freely travel across the interactive and real-time gigantic map of the world, on which you will be able to see other players from your country, heroes and castles, and NPCs (Non-Playable Characters).
In the world of Legends of Honor, the strategic angle is fundamental. Each and every raid must be meticulously planned. The hero you will choose to launch the attack, will have a major impact on the battle's proceedings and its outcome. So will his level, the equipment you pick, the units you send, and the unit boosters you decide to use.
That is why you definitely need to be a subtle strategist in both defense and attack, if you want to make it in this ruthless world where only the best will survive and become a legend of honor...
Good game!

First steps in Legends of Honor
As in most MMOs, you will have to master numerous gaming aspects, starting with the several resources produced by the buildings you will erect in you castle.
The amount and level of buildings will influence how much resources you may earn every hour.
You will also need to learn how to deal with your money (in order to recruit / make your units greater), to learn how to influence the citizen's happiness, as well as dealing your reputation (combined by your Honor -reputation among the other players- and Fear -reputation among the NPCs-).

You will be entitled to erect buildings of all sorts, among which you can find:
Production buildings: stone quarry (producing stones), woodcutters' hut (producing wood) and farmhouse (producing food).
Civic buildings: house (increasing taxes), bakery (reducing food consumption), or windmill (increasing farms' productivity), alongside several other buildings.
Military buildings: a dozen among which barracks (allowing to recruit units), workshop (producing boosters), or hospital (to heal wounded units).
Decorations (improving population's happiness) and Expansions (walls and moat for your castle).
Legends of Honor (aka LoH) offers a great deal of combat units (20 different unit types that can be improved on 22 levels).
These units belong to either one of three different types: infantry, cavalry and ranged soldiers.
All of them have at their disposal a given number of Attack damage, Defense damage, HPs (Hit points) and Loot capacity.
Each and every unit will be granted a bonus impacting on two types of fields (plains, forests or hills). Hence, it is very important to choose them according to the kind of field you will be leading the attack or defending yourself. All types of soldiers can be improved throughout time.
No army is worth anything without the proper equipment. You can give your units many types of equipment also called "Units Boosters". Like the military units, every unit booster is associated to a type (infantry, cavalry and ranged) and style of combat (defense or attack), and can be increased (over 20 possible upgrades).
Last but not least, in order to lead your battalion, you will need a worthy leader. In LoH, the champion who leads the army to battle, or who guards your main castle, is called the Hero. Heroes partake a major role in this game. Each one of them owns a certain amount of features that improve at every level.
Here are the units you can recruit in Legends of Honor :
• Level I : Armed peasant (infantry), Axeman (infantry), Archer (ranged) & Horseman (cavalry)
• Level II : Maceman (infantry), Bowman (ranged) & Knight (cavalry)
• Level III : Swordsman (infantry), Longbowman (ranged) & Feudal Knight (cavalry)
Here are other units you cannot recruit directly :
• Level V : Pikeman (infantry), Crossbowman (ranged) & Lancer (cavalry)
• Level VI : Halberdier (infantry), Heavy Crossbowman (ranged) & King's Guard (cavalry)
